“White tea is the most common, it’s the most universally pleasing,” says Lara Baker, marketing manager at Air Aroma, an almost 30-year-old scent company with distributors in 70 countries. Clients include Louis Vuitton (notes of leather and tobacco, among others), Barry’s Bootcamp (geranium and black pepper), Virgin Voyages (sea lavender), and Canada Goose (amber, white musk).”
“Canada Goose is one we get a ton of inquiries about. There’s this really fresh, mountain air note,” Baker says. Custom scents remain exclusive to brands, so despite inquiries, wannabe copycats can’t get their hands on the fragrance. When designing signature scents, Air Aroma has to remind clients that “it’s really not about someone’s personal preferences. We’re the experts, we’re going to know what’s right for your brand.”
“Post-pandemic, some businesses even used Air Aroma technology to tempt their employees back to the office – the company also installed scents in zoos, aquariums, car showrooms, wedding venues, and private mansions.”
