Intercontinental Luanda Miramar, an IHG Hotel, is Luanda’s first internationally recognized 5-star hotel, offering a refined combination of luxury and local charm. The hotel is the first in the region to implement HVAC scenting, an advanced method of scent diffusion technology commonly used in large and luxury hotels around the world. Working with global scent marketing firm Air Aroma, Ecoscent diffusers were installed to bring a luxurious and memorable ambiance to the hotel’s grand lobby. Installed at the end of 2024, these are the first HVAC connected diffusers used in Angola.
HVAC scenting, an advanced scent diffusion method created by Air Aroma, is the most effective way to scent large areas. The patented cold air diffusion technology allows for scent to travel evenly and consistently throughout a space by pushing a dry mist of scent with the airflow. This is ideal in areas like large atriums, such as InterContinental Luanda Miramar’s 24 story tall lobby, and spaces where technology is preferred out of sight. HVAC scenting seamlessly integrates an ambient scent into the space, forming a sensory layer of interior design. With built-in timers and customizable strength settings, Ecoscent diffusers are custom programmed for each space to diffuse the optimal level of scent and create the perfect ambiance.
